Hook and intro
Hi, my name is Martin, I'm the founder of VocaIQ. Today I'd like to introduce you to what this product is and, more importantly, how it actually works.
Before I get into VocaIQ itself, I want to spend thirty seconds on the problem we're solving, because once you see the numbers, the rest of this video makes a lot more sense.
The problem, voicemail and hold time are broken
Most businesses today still rely on two things to handle calls they can't answer in person: voicemail, and putting customers on hold. Both are broken.
Roughly 62% of calls to small businesses go unanswered. After business hours, that number jumps to over 90%. And of the people who do reach voicemail, somewhere between 80 and 86% hang up without leaving a message, and around 75% of them call a competitor within minutes.
Hold time is the other half of the problem. Sixty percent of callers hang up after just one minute on hold. You've felt this yourself, every one of us has called a phone company, a credit card company, a clinic, and sat there listening to bad music for thirty, forty minutes, sometimes not even getting the issue resolved by the end of it. It's frustrating. And usually the reason we're calling is something genuinely important, which makes the frustration worse.
What changed with AI voice agents
Over the last couple of years, all of this has started to change. AI voice technology has gotten to the point where we can replace those broken pieces, voicemail and hold queues, with something that actually works. And not just "less bad." Something genuinely better than what most businesses have today, even during business hours.
I'll be honest, there's still a lot of skepticism around this, and a lot of myths. That's normal with anything new. So before I show you what VocaIQ does, let me tell you what it is not. VocaIQ is not a tool for replacing your staff. That's the biggest myth, and it's just not how this works.
What VocaIQ actually is
Here's what it actually is. VocaIQ is an AI voice agent that picks up the calls your team can't, after hours, on weekends, on holidays, during lunch, or when every line is already busy. Instead of dumping the caller into voicemail, the agent answers the phone, has a real conversation, and gets the job done.
It can answer questions about your company, your hours, your location, your services, your products. If you sell ten thousand SKUs, it can answer accurate questions about every one of them in under a second, with full specs. No human can hold that in their head. It can take service calls. It can book real appointments straight into your calendar. It can recognize repeat customers by phone number, pull their history out of your CRM, and continue the conversation knowing exactly where they are in your pipeline. For example, "your cabinets are installed, your countertop template was taken last week, lead time is two to three weeks, you're in the queue." No re-explaining. No friction.
And it does this 24/7, in over 100 languages. The initial greeting goes out in English, but if the caller switches to French, which happens a lot here in Canada, the agent switches with them, mid-sentence, without missing a beat.
How it plugs in, no number changes for your customers
A common question: do my customers have to call a new number? No. Your inbound calls today come into either a business line or a cell phone. To activate VocaIQ, we just set up a call forward, and there are several flavors of that. You can forward everything 24/7, or only when no one picks up after a few rings, or only outside business hours. Your customers keep dialing the same number they've always used. The forward is invisible to them. The call lands with the agent, and the conversation begins.
Inside a call, five steps in plain English
So what actually happens during one of these calls? Let me walk you through it in plain English, no jargon.
The agent picks up. It opens with a greeting that complies with disclosure rules, so the caller knows up front they're speaking with an AI assistant. This protects you legally and keeps everything above board.
It looks the caller up. The instant the call connects, the system checks the phone number against your CRM. If this person is already your customer, the agent knows it, and knows their status. New caller? Treated as a fresh lead, all their questions answered, contact info captured.
It has the conversation. Questions about products, services, pricing ranges if you allow it, financing, delivery, lead times, whatever you've authorized it to discuss. It can listen, understand context, answer accurately, and ask clarifying questions back.
It takes action. If the caller wants an appointment, the agent checks your real calendar availability and books a real slot. The booking lands in your calendar. The caller gets an SMS confirmation. A note goes into your CRM with the full transcript, the phone number, the email if collected, and a summary of what they wanted.
The next morning, your team opens their inbox and the CRM and sees exactly what happened overnight, every call, every transcript, every booking, every new lead. No callbacks needed for the ones already handled. They just walk into a pre-filled schedule.
Wrap and try the live demo
That's VocaIQ in one sentence: it turns your after-hours and overflow calls into booked appointments and qualified leads, instead of voicemails nobody listens to. Calendar, CRM, and SMS confirmations are included in every plan, they're the baseline, not the upsell.
In the next video I'll play you a real call, end to end, and break down what's happening at each moment, so you can see this isn't a demo trick, it's how it actually behaves on a real inbound conversation.
If you want to skip ahead and hear one for yourself, head to our website, there's a free live demo right on the homepage. You drop in your number, the agent calls you back, and you can have a real conversation with it on the spot. Thanks for watching.
